What is The Open Forest Protocol ? 🌳

🌳 Open Forest Protocol (OFP) is a scalable open platform that allows forest projects of any size, from around the world, to Measure, Report, and Verify (MRV) their forestation data. 

🌎 Through OFP, individuals, communities, NGOs, entrepreneurs, and governments are able to create transparent, immutable, proof-of-impact data that is comprehensively verified by a network of independent experts. 

✨OFP is creating the foundation for more inclusive, scalable, and data-backed financing mechanisms for nature-based climate solutions.

Responsibilities


 

As our in-house Lawyer, you will work closely with our CEO, the Executive team and key internal stakeholders in providing legal advice in support of our business and legal entities. This is an exciting opportunity with ground pass access across our business and advising on a range of commercial, compliance, regulatory and workplace relation matters.


 

Under the guidance of our CEO, your key responsibilities are:

- drafting and reviewing documents, necessary for everyday activity of a company: internship agreements, employment contracts, services’ contracts, advisory agreements, MOUs, LOIs, partnership agreements and others,

-drafting and reviewing corporate documents, related to internal structuring, POAs,

- drafting, reviewing of funds receipt documentation: CLA, Token Warrants, SAFTs and others, 

- performance of KYC/AML process of banks, financial intermediaries and documentation required.


Work-schedule & Salary 


Role is remote, part-time (40-50%) with few travelings required 1-2 times a year to participate in team meetings. Salary is negotiable after results of interview. 

 

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, your skills and experience should include:

  • Completed Master law degree with admission as a legal practitioner in USA, Switzerland (huge advantage), any EU country, 
  • Minimum of 3+ years post-qualification experience gained in a commercial/corporate environment as well as experience in dealing with workplace relations matters, 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional, drafting skills targeted to the audience, internally and externally,
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, 
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills, 
  • Highly organized, able to manage your own work and multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining the highest standards of work, 
  • Able to work autonomously, as part of a team and collaboratively, 
  • A keen desire to learn about our business, our industry in general, the way we do our work and how legal services are provided in that context, including to our related entities.
